American Idol’s Casey Carlson’s Bikini Photo Shoot

We’ve got our very first extracurricular American Idol activities of the new season courtesy of Casey Carlson. Casey, who auditioned in Kansas City on the second night of season 8 (I said “extremely cute face… good utility candidate” apparently posed for some bathing suit photos for Campus Girls USA:
The pics are being mirrored all over the net, but they’ve got the complete set of photos, videos, and a calendar you can buy here, at the original source.… I think it’s safe to say they’ve hit the lottery on this one. But Campus Girls USA does say they donate their profits to breast cancer research, so I suppose this is one web site that’s not a pure grab for cash.
Interestingly enough, glancing through the photos, I’m not picking up the “extremely cute face” angle the second time around. But Casey’s got other, ah… cute bits. (Though some of the photos make me want to scream “FOCUS!” … c’mon guys. A little effort here. It’s for charity.)
On the Idol Shocker scale, this event barely registers … its certainly nothing compared to some of the stuff Paula’s historically been dragged into. I’m betting the producers knew all about the pictures and were hoping for just this sort of thing. Hey, it’s good TV, right?

its a girl in a bikini. i dont see the scandal about that. and if idol feels the need to get more publicity, im sure they will just release some new fake rumors about paula. they always get their most publicity at her expense
